Windows 7
Steps to reproduce
1) Create or Import NodeGroup (see attached)
2) Open the Nodegroup with a double click
3) Marquee select all nodes and press CTRL+C or RMB>Edit>Copy
4) Jump over to the Main Nodegraph
5) CTRL+V the previously copied nodes.
6) Click in an empty space to deselect the nodes
7) Create a new node in the main graph. Any node.
8) Select the new node and press DEL or RMB/Edit/Delete
9) You will see the previously pasted Backdrop, which even though not selected it will get deleted as well. There is no way not to get it deleted.
Workaround
Unknown.
Reproduced by support
Windows 7, CentOS 6, Sierra 10.12
Expected behaviour
When deselecting pasted nodes/backdrops the backdrops should be in fact deselected
Actual behaviour
Pasted Backdrops are internally always selected and can't be deselected
