Problem summary
KDE display managers affect Mari palettes when switching between applications by modifying QT's default behaviour.

Steps to reproduce
1) On CentOS7, install a KDE display manager package
2) Open Mari and create a custom or floating palette.
3) Open your web browser and switch between the applications using [ALT+TAB]
4) The floating palettes will minimise.
Workaround
You should try to use display managers such as GNOME which are officially supported and tested in-house.
