Problem summary The paint through tool, provides varying results when using the 'paint' method and the 'stamp' method. The paint method has a loss in quality when compared to stamping.

Steps to reproduce 1) Start a new project with the attached sphere.obj 2) Create a scalar channel with 4096x4096 and 8bit 3) Paint buffer settings: 16bit 2048x2048 (happens with 4096x4096 too). Reset paint buffer. 4) Load and drop in attached example texture to use with Paint Through tool. Reset transforms relative to Paint Buffer. 5) Press 'Stamp' button 6) Move the image somewhere else and then paint the same detail next to it to compare.
