Problem summary
Transferring textures from one channel/layer to another currently crashes on a ~7Million poly object with an 8K texture projecting onto a 17k poly object. The operation took 15 hours and crashed.

Steps to reproduce
1) Load up the asset provided by the customer (see below)
2) Select the 7M poly object
3) Go to layers>transfer and select the target object
4) Transfer, wait a good number of hours (Note, check power settings as your PC may shutdown before this operation has finished)
5) Crash
Workaround
Copying and Pasting channels is the only viable workaround at the moment.
