Steps to reproduce

1) Open Example Head

2) Export the Diffuse channel as flattened to any file format

3) Enable Scalar Data in the Channel Palette under 'color data'.

4) Export the Diffuse channel as flattened to any file format

5) Compare the two images in your file browser or in Photoshop

Reproduced as far back as 3.0v3 when Scalar Data was exposed

Expected behaviour
The two images should export different results in the final image. One should have the scalar data baked in.

Actual behaviour
The two exported images matched and did not vary in value.
