ID 219949 - mov32 vs mov64 gamma shift

Follow

Problem summary
mov32 and mov64 decoders read the same mov32 H264 file with different gamma values. The mov32 matches the original export, and the mov64 is slightly darker.

Customer reported version
nuke.10.0v1

Customer reported platform
10.06

Steps to reproduce

1) Open Nuke9.0v1 or newer

2) Create a CheckerBoard, and connected it to a Write node.

3) Render out a sequence as .mov H.264

4) Read in the exported sequence, the imported footage will be darker than the original comp.

5) Set the Read node's decoder to mov32, it will now be the same as the original comp.

Reproduced by support
The problem was reproduced in:

Nuke 10.0v3 - Windows 10 - Mac OSX 10.11

Nuke 9.0v8 - Windows 10

Nuke 9.0v2 - Windows 10

Nuke 9.0v1 - Windows 10 - Mac OSX 10.11 (However in 9.0v1 it is not as bad as the others)

Not reproduced earlier as mov64 was not in earlier builds.

Expected behaviour
For the result to be the same

Actual behaviour
The result was different, below is a screen shot of the difference between the different decoders.
