Discovered in Nukestudio 10.5v2.
This is not a regression.
Summary
Nuke studio is limiting video slightly too much when using the video safe mode. Attached are picture and short vid.
Repro Steps
- Open Nuke studio
- Import attached 10STEP_10bitUncomp.mov
- Drag onto the Timeline
- Open Monitor Output panel.
- Set Monitor Output device to Decklink 4K Extreme card
- Set pixel format for the Monitor to 10-Bit 4:4:4 and the colourspace to Rec709.
- On the broadcast Monitor enable the Waveforms to display the Y Cr Cb levels.
- Enable the video safe mode levels in the monitor output panel.
- Looking at the Y Luminance level the range below 0 and 100.
- The Y luminance level should be hitting 0 and 100 exactly.
- Now look at the Cr and Cb levels. They are below 100.
- Disable video safe mode and the Y Cr Cb levels will all touch 100 exactly.
- Looking closely at the Y level this will still remain below 0.
Workaround
Dragging clips into the nodegraph displays the levels correctly in the scopes.
Reproduced in

10.0v6
10.5v2
10.5v3
10.5v4
Actual result
Nuke studio displays colour levels within legal ranges but not exactly with a calibrated greyscale or colourbars image.
Expected result
Nuke Studio should display colour levels at exact ranges 0 to 100 with calibrated image.
