Problem summary When opening large files in Nuke11.1v1 they are taking considerably longer to load, when compared to loading the same script in Nuke11.0 or Nuke10.5
In my testing, I received the following load times for my projects:
Nuke11.0v1 - 4 minutes 23 seconds
Nuke10.5v7 - 37 seconds
This is almost 8 times slower than on previous versions.
Additionally from testing, this appears to be a Windows only issue.
Customer reported version nuke.11.1v1
Customer reported platform windows10
Steps to reproduce
1) Download the attached Nuke Script (Or create a very large script (200+ nodes connected))
2) Launch Nuke11.1v1
Result: Nuke will be frozen (And look non-responsive) for a long time before the project is loaded
Workaround - For current scripts with this problem, attempt to 'Precomp' sections of the project, this will decrease the file size and memory usage.
- For future scripts, consider precomping sections of your project using the 'LiveGroups' tool. Here is a link to our online help documentation on LiveGroups: Foundry Online Help - LiveGroups
