ID 325228 - Ctrl+clicking scene graph locations to change their selection state may result in undesirable scrolling

Follow

Problem summary:

When selecting scene graph locations by Ctrl+clicking them, the contents of the Scene Graph tab can scroll unexpectedly, and undesirably.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In the Node Graph tab, create a GafferThree node and set its view and edit flags.
  2. In the Parameters tab, add a lot of rig packages to the GafferThree node, for example by creating one rig, then pressing Ctrl+A and Ctrl+D a couple of times, to select all available rigs, then duplicate all of them.
  3. In the Scene Graph tab, expand the entire scene graph, and select a couple of rigs by Ctrl+clicking them.
  4. Scroll down to view addiitonal rigs.
  5. Ctrl+click a rig location that is not shown at the very bottom of the Scene Graph tab, while there are still rigs below it in the scene graph.

Expected behaviour:

The clicked rig is added to the selection, and no scrolling occurs.

Actual behaviour:

The clicked rig is added to the selection, and the scene graph is scrolled so that the clicked rig is shown at the bottom of the Scene Graph tab.

Workaround:

No known workaround.
