Problem summary
One new feature in Nuke 11.1 releases is the addition of the green localization progress bar on a Read node. This green progress bar shows the that the Localization process is complete for that Read node, and the files are now localized on local drive location.
In Nuke 11.v2 releases and later, there has been a bug found where if you 'close' or 'clear' the script, on reopening the script the green progress bar has disappeared.
From testing this does not affect the connection to the localize files, it seems to be purely a GUI related error.
This error occurs on all three major operating systems in Nuke 11.1v2 releases and later releases
Customer reported version
nuke.11.1v3
Customer reported platform
centos7
Steps to reproduce
1) Open a new Nuke script
2) Import in any file using the Read node.
3) In the Read node's properties, select 'localization policy' to 'on'. This will localize the file and this will be indicated with the green progress bar on the Read node.
4) Save the script
5) Click either 'clear comp' or 'close comp', ensuring that Nuke does not close.
6) Locate and re-open the save script
Result: The green localization bar has disappeared
7) To confirm this is isolated to the close/clear function, save the script, quite Nuke and reopen Nuke
Result: The green localization bar is present
Workaround
Currently there are two options to fix this in the script:
- When green localization bar is missing, change the 'localization policy' to 'off' then 'on' again, this will refresh the GUI
- Quit Nuke and re-open Nuke instead of closing/clearing script.
Reproduced by support
This bug has been reproduced in:
Nuke 11.1v4 - Windows 7 - CentOS 6.9 - MacOS 10.13.4
Nuke 11.1v3 - Windows 7 - CentOS 6.9 - MacOS 10.13.4
Nuke 11.1v2 - Windows 7 - CentOS 6.9 - MacOS 10.13.4 - regression
Unable to reproduce bug in:
Nuke 11.1v1 - Windows 7 - CentOS 6.9 - MacOS 10.13.4
Earliest version tested
Nuke 11.1v1
- This issue no longer appears in this version and has regressed
Expected behaviour
When re-opening a closed or cleared script that contains a Read node with a green localization progress bar, the bar should still remain on re-opening.
Actual behaviour
When re-opening a closed or cleared script that contains a Read node with a green localization progress bar, the bar no longer is present in the GUI.
