Modo uses incorrect ACES OCIO config. Below is a comparison of ACES_1.0.3 in Mari and Nuke (standard config) and Modo(non-standard config).

1) Find the ACES OCIO config at
Windows: C:\Program Files\Foundry\Modo\12.1v1\resrc\ocio_configs\aces
macOS: /Applications/Modo12.1v1/Contents/Resources/ocio_configs/aces
Earliest version tested
The ACES OCIO config file was implemented with the current settings.
Expected behaviour
Standard roles set for ACES OCIO config, inline with Mari/Nuke.
Actual behaviour
Non-standard ACES OCIO config for Modo.
