ID 350953 - Exporting and building from track processes takes significantly longer in Nuke Studio 11.1 releases, if the script contain both a large amount of shots and using QuickTime files as source media.
Problem summary Within the Nuke 11.1 releases, exporting a sequence that contains QuickTime files take longer to export/build track than in Nuke 10.5 releases.
In a test of 100 cuts over 40 seconds of footage, the export took significantly longer in Nuke 11.1 releases, in comparison to Nuke 10.5v7
Re-building the tracks from export also shows a significantly longer duration between the two release versions.
This issue only occurs on Windows operating systems in the first Nuke 11.0v1 release and all the current 11.1 releases.
To note, this issue does not occur when exporting image-based formats such as dpx's or exr's and is isolated to QuickTime files.
Testing with the Frame Server activated, made no difference in the processing.
Customer reported version nuke.11.1v3
Customer reported platform windows10
Steps to reproduce
1) Open a new Nuke Studio 11.1v3 project
2) Import a single QuickTime file and create a sequence by dragging the clip into the timeline. (I used a 29.97fps single QuickTime file)
3) Cut the file into 10 x '10-second' long shots, and delete the rest of the footage
4) Duplicate these 10 times until you have 40 seconds of footage with 100 shots (see below)
5) Export these shots as 'Basic Nuke Shot'
6) View the results of the export queue window Result: The export process takes a significant amount of time
7) Reproduce the above steps within Nuke 10.5v7 (or Nuke 11.0 releases after Nuke 11.0v1) Result: The export process is significantly faster.
Workaround We suggest for longer shot count edits that are using QuickTime files as source media, to use an image-based sequence format for Nuke 11.1 releases until this issue is resolved.

Actual behaviour The export/build from track process is taking a significant amount longer than expected in Nuke 11.1 releases
