Problem summary
Wrap Influence operations fail when another mesh operation is used below them in the operation stack. This has been confirmed with the Edge bevel, Edge Split, Mirror, and Merge meshes operators.
Customer reported version
modo.12.1v1
Customer reported platform
windows7
Steps to reproduce
1) Open the attached scene file, it contains 3 procedural stacks to demonstrate the behaviour of the Wrap Influence operation.
2) In the item layer 'broken', a Merge Mesh operation is used before the Wrap Influence operation. If you select the cage mesh item and deform it, you will see that the Cylinder will not deform.
3) If you test the other 2 procedural stacks ('working' and 'also working') you'll see that if the Merge Mesh operation is not used below the Wrap Influence operation, the deformation will work.
macOS 10.13
12.1v2
10.2v4
Earliest version tested
10.2v4 - This issue appears to be in all versions of the product.
Expected behaviour
Wrap Influence mesh operations should properly affect meshes containing other operators below it in the mesh operation stack.
Actual behaviour
Wrap Influence operations do not work when other meshops are located below it in the operation stack. When the operation is added after the wrap influence is added, the mesh will be corrupted until either the wrap influence or the other meshop is removed. If the wrap influence is added after the other meshop, it will not affect the mesh.
