ID 352185 - Significant lag of center transform jack of downstream Transform node, when several FrameHolds offshoot from a single RotoPaint node and re-merge
Problem summary
When re-merging several offshoot FrameHold nodes from a RotoPaint node, any subsequent changes using another node's 'center' transform jack will cause a lag in the movement of that transform jack.
Using a wacom tablet increases the lag, but it is still prominent using a mouse. This lag only occurs with the center controls of the transform jack and no others.
This issue occurs in all regressive test versions and all operating systems, but less prominent in Mac until more FrameHolds are introduced.
Customer reported version
nuke.11.0v4
Customer reported platform
centos7
Steps to reproduce
Open attached script and test step 10
or
1) Create a new Nuke script at HD resolution
2) Create a Colorwheel node
3) Create a RotoPaint node with 100 strokes on frame 1
4) Create an offshoot FrameHold and set to Frame 2
5) Create another offshoot FrameHold and set to Frame 3
6) Create a final offshoot FrameHold and set to Frame 4
7) Create a Merge node and connect the B-line to the original Rotopaint
8) Connect the three FrameHold's to the Merge node into A1, A2 and A3 inputs respectively
9) Create a Transform node (see node graph below for visual setup)
10) Alter the center value of the Transform jack in the viewer by 'ctrl' + 'right-clicking' and dragging within the transform jack. Result: There will be a significant lag in the movement of the Transform's transform jack.
Workaround
Precomp or render any RotoPaint operations before the FrameHold operations.
