ID 365722 - Licensing dialogue incorrectly states length of trial period to be 15 days

Follow

Problem summary

When launching Katana without a license installed, the user is given the option to "Try Katana" in the licensing dialogue. Selecting this option prompts the user to log in to download a trial license for 15 days. This is incorrect, as a 30 day trial is advertised on the website and the trial license downloaded to the user's machine after logging in is valid for 30 days.

Customer reported version
Katana 3.0v4

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make sure no Foundry licenses for Katana are installed on your machine.
The license files can be found under C:\ProgramData\The Foundry\RLM on Windows or /usr/local/foundry/RLM on Linux.
Temporarily move any .lic files to another folder.

  2. Launch Katana.

  3. No license will be found, so a Licensing dialogue will pop up. Click "Try Katana".

Expected behaviour
The dialog should state that the trial period is 30 days.

Actual behaviour
The dialog states "Log in to download your free 15-day trial"

Workaround
Ignore the incorrect information and log in to your Foundry account. The trial license that is installed should be valid for 30 days.
