Problem summary
When the Preview window is opened and floating on the screen, a complex scene is crashing on load. The scene contains many types of materials and removing these materials from the Shader tree, makes the crash disappear.

Steps to reproduce
1) Open a new session of Modo.
2) Press "F8" to bring up the Preview window and click on it.
3) With the Preview window selected, open the attached scene by pressing (CTRL + O).
4) The scene starts loading and crashes Modo when it has almost completed loading.

Note: The crash occurs on CentOS 7 when the Preview window is floating on a second monitor screen while opening the scene.
Earliest version tested
Modo 11.1v1 - The issue no longer appears in this version and has regressed.
Expected behaviour
A complex scene with many materials should not crash when opening with the Preview window selected.
Actual behaviour
The scene crashes when almost completed loading with the Preview window opened and selected.
