Problem summary
Item properties that contain section with gradient options are redrawing slowly when opened. The delay in redrawing is longer when there are more gradient options in the sections. Additionally, there are also delays occurring when collapsing these sections. On CentOS 7, the redrawn is more noticeable compared to Windows and on MacOSX there is no delay.
Customer reported version
Modo 12.1v1
Customer reported platform
Windows 10
Steps to reproduce
1) Go to the Shading tab. Click on Add Layer and then create an item that contains options with gradients. For example a "Fur Material".
2) Click on the created "Fur Material" to open its item properties.
3) Change to the "Fur Kink" tab. When the tab opens, notice that the sections containing options are redrawn with a noticeable delay. All the sections are expanded by default.
4) Inside the tab, hide the "Jitter", "Bend", "Kink" and "Frizz" sections by clicking on their arrows. There is also a delay occurring when collapsing each of the sections.
5) With all sections collapsed, change to another tab and then back. Now the delay is gone and the "Fur Kink" tab opens instantly.
Workaround
Unknown.
