Problem summar
Selecting a polygon in a mesh layer results in randomly selected polygons in other mesh layers. This issue is specific to a model from a particular FBX file with default import settings that has several mesh layers. The issue does not appear after merging the mesh layers into a single mesh item.
Customer reported version
Modo 12.2v1
Customer reported platform
Windows 10
Steps to reproduce
1) Import the attached file "model_chair.fbx" with default FBX import settings. The scene contains a model with multiple mesh layers.
2) Select all of the mesh layers in the model from the Item list.
3) In Polygons component mode, select a number of polygons on the model.
4) When selecting certain polygons, unconnected polygons are randomly selected in other mesh layers. Please see the attached screen recording on example areas that show the issue.
Workaround
Merge all mesh layers in the Item list to a single mesh item or reimport as an OBJ file.
