Using Pie Menus in an iMac 27” retina is completely awful, suffering a great delay.
In a non-retina display, using the same computer, it’s instantaneous.
Steps to reproduce
I have checked this with a brand new 2017 iMac 27” 4.2Ghz, 64GB RAM & Radeon Pro 580 8192 MB with a secondary 27” Dell Screen.
— Main iMac screen is 27” retina, 5120 x 2880 — Secondary screen is Dell 27” regular 2560 x 1440 — Using Modo11.1v1 (Safe Mode).command
— If I move the entire Modo interface to the secondary screen and press ALT-Q, the Pie Menu appears almost instantaneously (as usual)
— Doing the same on the own iMac screen gives me something between 1 to 2 seconds to appear.
This is awful, because the user experience is broken. I need to maintain my key combo pressed for along those 1-2 seconds. If I release the keys before that period, the pie menu doesn’t appears at all…
Curiously, any other PopOver with icons doesn’t suffer of this problem. It’s just with Pie Menus (I mean the radial ones, with 8 options)
