ID 379627 - Freeze/failed render when rendering hair material on OSX

Problem summary
Freeze/failed render when rendering hair material on OSX. Modo will get stuck on a sampling passes and process infinitely without progressing. Aborting the render freezes/crashes Modo.

Steps to reproduce
1) Open Modo.
2) Select File > Open and open the attached file.
3) Press F9 to render.
Result: Modo should fail to continue progressing on a sampling pass. Sometimes the render may not fail - Modo should be restarted and the test attempted again in this instance.

Expected behaviour
Modo should not fail to render.

Modo fails to render on OSX if a bucket attempts to render a hair material.
