ID 393564 - A child item will not update in the viewport when the parent is deselected.

Problem summary

When selecting a parent item it's child item will be highlighted in the 3D viewport, if you then select a separate item the child remains highlighted.

Steps to reproduce

1) Create 4 separate cube items, set one of these as a child of another, as shown below.

2) Select the parent item and notice that the child is also highlighted in the 3D viewport.

3) Now select a separate cube item, notice that the child remains highlighted.

​

Expected behaviour
The child item should only be highlighted when the parent item is selected and when another cube is selected the child item should no longer be highlighted.

Actual behaviour

The child item remains highlighted when another cube is selected.

Workaround
If you hover over the child item in the 3D viewport it will update the viewport and the child item will no longer be highlighted.
