Problem summary:
An old ReadGeo node is created when dragging/dropping an .fbx or.abc file into the Node Graph.
Customer reported version:
11.3v5
Customer reported platform:
macOS 10.14 Mojave
Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch Nuke.
2) From a directory/desktop, click and drag an .fbx or .abc file onto the Node Graph.
3) Set the Viewer for the node and observe the FBX/ABC Options in the Properties bin.
Expected behavior:
A ReadGeo2 node should be created, and the node name knob (fbx_node_name) should populate with .fbx node names. Additionally, when drag/drop alembic files, the Viewer should populate with the model.
Actual behavior:
The animation stack (fbx_take_name) and node name knobs (fbx_node_name) are displayed with -------, instead of the respective .fbx nodes.
For Alembic files, the model is missing from the viewer and the ABC Options are flipped.
Workaround:
Reading in the .fbx or .abc file using a ReadGeo2 node (right-click 3D > Geometry > ReadGeo2) will display the properties correctly.
Reproduced by Support in:
Nuke 12.0v2 - Windows 10, , CentOS 7, macOS 10.13
Nuke 11.3v4 - Windows 10
Nuke 11.3v1 - Windows 10
Nuke 11.2v1 - Windows 10
Nuke 11.1v3 - Windows 10, CentOS 7, macOS 10.13
Earliest version tested:
Nuke 11.1v2 - This feature did not exist before this version - dragging/dropping an .fbx /.abc file would create a regular Read node with an fbxReader.dll or abcReader.dll error.
