ID 394355 - Power Translators doesn't work with Rhino 6 .3dm files.

Problem summary

Importing .3dm files from Rhino 6 into Modo using Power Translators results in the following message:

Steps to reproduce

1) Make sure you have the Power Translators plugin installed and download the attached example file.

2) Select File>Import and select the downloaded file,

3) Press OK and then use any settings and select OK again.

4) A message saying "File contains no CAD content." will appear:

 

Expected behaviour
Power Translators should open the .3dm file.

Actual behaviour
A message appears saying the file contains no CAD content.

Workaround

  1. Choose 'Save As...' in Rhino 6.
  2. Open the file type dropdown.
  3. Choose 'Rhino 5 3D Models (*.3dm)'.
  4. Save the file as a Rhino 5 .3dm.
