ID 401739 - Merge nodes within Multi-Channel Merges do not always display Promote UI

Problem summary:

Merge nodes within Multi-Channel Merges do not always display Promote UI

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a Material node
2. Add a multi-channel merge node inside
3. Hit the [P] icon in the Multi-Channel merge node properties
4. Notice that you can select internals to promote.
5. Promote something from an internal merge
6. Notice that it does not have a promote spanner icon in the UI

7. At Material node level, promote again
8. Now the internal spanner has appeared?

Expected behaviour:

These are promotable so should display as such in the UI. This would help users to have more control when making compound/advanced materials.

Actual behaviour:

Doesn't display a spanner promote icon

Workaround:

No known workaround.
