Problem summary
Transform/mirror patch feature does not work when using on a singular node which is not connected to a channel

Steps to reproduce
1) Open Mari and an example project
2) Open the NodeGraph and delete all channels/nodes/shaders
3) Create a paint node, press 1 to view the node and draw on one of the UV patches
4) Select the patch>right click>Patches>Transform>Flip Vertical
result: Nothing occurs
Expected behaviour
Transform or Mirror patches should work regardless of the use of a channel
Actual behaviour
Transform/Mirror patches feature does not work if there is no channel attached to the node
Workaround
Attach the paint node to a channel
