Problem summary
Modo Safe Mode fails to launch if an app.zip folder is present in the Applications directory.

Steps to reproduce
1) Open Terminal and type
touch Example.app.zip
2) Move this created file to the Applications directory.
3) Try to launch Modo Safe Mode.
4) Rename Example.app.zip to Example.ap.zip
5) Launching Modo Safe Mode should now work as expected.
Expected behaviour
Modo should launch in Safe Mode.
Actual behaviour
Finder reports the error "Unknown object type" (-1731) and Modo does not launch.
