ID 420485 - [S] From Avid: Clips with composite/nested effects are ignored in Flix

Follow

Problem summary
Clips with composite/nested effects (more than 1 effect on the clip) in Avid are missing in the edit when coming back into Flix.

Customer reported version
Flix 6.2.1

Steps to reproduce

1) In Avid, apply an Animatte and a 3D Warp effect on a clip on V2 to create a composite effect with the underneath clip on V1 (see screenshots below).

2) Select both video tracks (V1 and V2) and export an AAF with the settings shown below.

3) Import the created AAF into Flix. Neither the Animatte nor the 3D Warp show.

Expected behaviour
Both effects to show in Flix.

Actual behaviour
Neither effects show in Flix, but they do when used individually.

Workaround
Exporting the AAF using "Mixdown Video/Effects to V1" instead of "Render Video Effects" will show the effects as expected in Flix.

NOTE: Using this workaround will cause multiple clips that fall under the same effect to become ONE panel in Flix, related only to the first panel of the series. We advise importing the AAF created with these settings with "Render All Frames"
