Steps to reproduce

1) Add a node to the schematic view. Any node.
2) Left-click a connector and start dragging out a connection wire.
3) Hold Command, then release the left mouse button over the viewport background.
4) Release Command. Connection wire is still being dragged.
5) Left-click background to place connection.

6) You should encounter a connection wire connected to nothing.
7) Try deleting the connection or moving the node.

Expected behaviour
If no connection is made the wire should disappear.

Actual behaviour

The connection line freezes in the Schematic viewport.
