ID 415705 - To Avid: Random unpublished clips are offline in the AAFs

Follow

Problem summary
Publishing to Avid sometimes results in clips published for the first time to appear offline.

Customer reported version
Flix 6.1.2

Customer reported platform
Multiple

Steps to reproduce
NOTE: This is an intermittent issue and the following steps will only replicate it sometimes.
1) Publish a Sequence Revision to Avid.
2) Import the AAF created by Flix into the Avid bin.
3) Sometimes, panels that have only just been published to editorial appear with offline media in Avid, and will not Relink as these clips were not previously imported to Avid.

Expected behaviour
Clips published to editorial for the first time should have embedded media and appear online in Avid.

Actual behaviour
Some clips that should have embedded media instead appear offline, with no possibility to Relink media. This appears to happen with groups of clips at a time, and not just one. Issue also appears to be intermittent with no clear pattern as to which panels are mistakenly offline.

Workaround
In Flix, go back to the Sequence Revision published to Avid which wrongly has offline media. Select the problematic panels and version them up via the Make a new version tool. Save a new Revision and publish this to editorial. Importing this newly created AAF to Avid should include embedded media for the versioned up panels.
