ID 422272 - Artifacts and jagged edges are present when baking painted areas next to hidden faces.

Follow

Status Update: This is expected behaviour in Mari and part of how the projection engine works by design. During the Paint>Bake process, a texel belonging to another UV face which is hidden acts as a mask and appears to cause UI artefacts. In the example screenshot, pixel one is white (painted) and pixel two is hidden, so Mari is unable to calculate how to blend finely between the two (paint fall off) and removes this texel from the bake assuming that it is hidden intentionally. The same behaviour can be seen if a face is selected and filled with the colour.

Problem summary
