Steps to reproduce

1) Create a Checkerboard node

2) Within the properties of the Checkerboard node, create a new resolution within the 'format' knob of 2001 x 1001 and name it 'A'

3) Create a RotoPaint node under the Checkerboard node

4) Select the 'Clone' tool and use the yellow crosshair of the Checkerboard node as the source for the clone, cloning to a new area to the right.
Result: Clone result is softened

5) Clone the cloned result
Result: Further softening occurs

6) Repeat steps 2- 5 using a Checkerboard with a resolution of 2000 x 1000.
Result: No softening occurs
