ID 428107 - [C] Photoshop: Opening more than a certain amount of panels as Layer Comps or Timeline from Flix will open a blank template instead

Problem summary

Flix cannot open more than a certain amount of panels in Photoshop as layer comps, and opens a blank PS template instead.

The number seems to be dependent on the average filesize of the PSDs it needs to open in PS, varying from being able to open a maximum of 11 to a maximum of 13.

Steps to reproduce

1) In the Preferences > Third Party Apps > Adobe Photoshop, have the Panel Open Behavior set to "Open in Layer Comps"

2) In a Sequence Revision, select 14 or more panels

3) Click on Open in Sketching app. A blank template will be opened in PS instead of the selected panels

Expected behaviour
The panels selected should have been opened in PS as layer comps

Actual behaviour
A blank template was opened instead
