Steps to reproduce

1) Download and open the attached scene file.
2) Select the curves item and select Animate > Export MDD...

3) When the MDD file has been exported, right-click the curves item and select Freeze Mesh Operations > Duplicate and Freeze
4) Add the MDD file to the newly created mesh and notice that the animation doesn't playback correctly.

Expected behaviour
The MDD file animation should produce an identical animation.

Actual behaviour
The MDD file doesn't playback the animation correctly.

Unknown.
