Steps to reproduce

1) Download and open the attached scene file.
2) Go to the Clips tab and double-click the 'Colorful-abstract...' clip to open the image viewer, notice that the image appears as expected. 
3) Enable Polygons and double-click the mesh so that everything is selected.

4) Double-click the 'Colorful-abstract...' clip again and notice that the image viewer appears black.

Expected behaviour
The image should appear in the image viewer.

Actual behaviour
The image viewer appears black.

Workaround
Unknown.
