If I have Use Flix Timing as a preference for setting panel timings in the AAF, issues may occur in cases where panels are longer than the preferred Mark In point + the overall clip duration.
Customer reported version
Flix 6.3.5
Steps to reproduce
1) In the Preferences > Third Party Apps > Avid Media Composer, set the following options as such:
Clip Duration: 240 (10 seconds)
Use Flix Timing: Enabled
Enable Mark In: Enabled
Mark In: 120 (5 seconds)
2) Create a two panel Sequence Revision.
3) Set the duration for one of the two panels to be 277.
4) Publish this to Avid.
Expected behaviour
Clips should always be long enough to cater for the timing they need to be in the sequence in Avid.
"Clip Duration" is ignored if "Use Flix Timing is enabled" and panels are longer than what's been set; if that's enabled, when publishing, Flix automatically detects what the clip duration has to be based on the duration of the clips in the revision.
Actual behaviour
AAF is generated without errors. You will get PMM Insufficient Media when importing the AAF, or when trying to play the automatically generated Sequence. If you check the bin, the 277 frames (bit more than 11seconds) long panel only shows as being 5 seconds long.
Workaround
Duplicate the panel in Flix, and spread the total duration across multiple panels.
OR
Increase the Clip Duration value in Preferences > Third Party Apps > Avid Media Composer.
