ID 470446 - [C] Photoshop: Sending thumbnails to Flix while also using frames or layer comps will create very big panel artworks due to all layer comps/frames being included

Follow

Problem summary
Sending panels from Photoshop with Send Thumbnails will cause the artwork to include invisible layers when the original PSD also includes:

- frames

- layer comps

Each panel will have an artwork much larger than the original PSD, and contain all frames/layer comps instead of just one representing the panel.

For example, 9 panels sent with Send Thumbnails from a 150MB PSD with 145 frames, resulted in 9 PSDs of approximately 240MB each, totalling 2GB for only 9 panels.

Customer reported version
Flix 6.3.4

Customer reported platform

Windows

Steps to reproduce

1) In PS, click on New Thumbnails from the Flix plugin to get a clean thumbnails template.

2) Create 3 frames or 3 layer comps.

3) Select one of the frames/layer comps and click on Send Thumbnails to send 9 panels to Flix.

4) Make sure you don't have "Always Open Master Image" enabled in the Preferences, then double click on one of the newly sent panels to open it in Photoshop.

Expected behaviour
The artwork for each panel should not contain all frames/layer comps, and should only include visible used layers.

Actual behaviour
The artwork for each panel will contain all the frames present in the original PSD, therefore including layers that are invisible and unneeded for the panel which make the file much larger than it has to be.
