Steps to reproduce
1) Download and open the attached scene file.
2) Select the Fusion Item, enable Edge Weights and select 'Dup & Convert to Mesh".
3) Select the newly created Mesh and go to the UV layout.
4) Set the UV to Texture and notice that no UVs are present.
Expected behaviour
The UVs should be present. 
Actual behaviour
No UVs are present.
Workaround
Unknown.
