Problem summary
The DiskCache node does not perform as expected.

Customer reported version
nuke.12.2v3

Customer reported platform
windows10

Steps to reproduce
1) In Nuke, copy/paste the following nodes:

ColorWheel {
 inputs 0
 format "3840 2160 0 0 3840 2160 1 UHD_4K"
 gamma 0.45
 rotate
 name ColorWheel1
 selected true
 xpos 212
 ypos -154
}
ZDefocus2 {
 useGPUIfAvailable false
 z_channel rgba.red
 dof 0.9300000072
 size 100
 max_size 100
 legacy_resize_mode false
 show_legacy_resize_mode false
 name ZDefocus1
 selected true
 xpos 212
 ypos -53
}
DiskCache {
 name DiskCache1
 selected true
 xpos 212
 ypos 21
}
2) View the DiskCache node by pressing 1 on the keyboard.
3) Select the Precache button on the DiskCache node, and set a specific frame range.
4) After completion, playback the frames and view the performance.

Expected behavior
The DiskCache node should allow consistent playback of the cached frames.

Actual behavior
The precached frames do not have a performance increase compared to that of playing back in the Viewer to cache the frames. It seems that the DiskCached frames play only 40-50% faster than if they weren't cached at all.

Workaround
There is no available workaround at this time.
