Follow

Problem summary
Subtracting empty mesh items with a Procedural Boolean creates render issues.

Customer reported version
modo.15.1v1

Customer reported platform
windows7

Steps to reproduce
1) In Modo, create a new Mesh item so there are two empty meshes.
2) With the newly created mesh, adjust the Properties for displaying the Render dropdown to No.
3) In the Display tab, select the add Draw options, then choose the draw style dropdown for Wireframe.
4) In the Item list, click and drag the mesh to the first Empty mesh so it's layered inside.
5) Add a Boolean Operator on the first empty mesh item. Select the second mesh to subtract and click OK.
6) Open the Preview Render window and move the empty mesh object in the Viewer to the zero/origin coordinates.
7) Observe as the mesh item crosses the 0,0 threshold.

Expected behavior
The mesh geometry should not be created or displayed.

Actual behavior
The empty mesh item displays flipped normals for the secondary mesh and displays black in the render window.

Workaround
There is no available workaround at this time.
