Steps to reproduce

1) Launch Modo.

2) Go to System > Preferences > Display > Colors.

3) Hover your cursor over the name for Background and it will state " The Viewport background color when GL Background is set to none or gradient."

4) Change the color and note that the background color does not change.

5) Go to 3D Viewport Properties and change GL Background from None to Gradient and the background will turn a darker shade of gray, but not necessarily the color selected in Preferences.

6) In Preference change the Color for Deformers Active to any color and the Viewport background will immediately change. 

Expected behaviour
Changing Background color should change selected to that color.

Actual behaviour
Color is not changed as prescribed.

Workaround
Change Deformers Active to desired color.
