Problem summary
HieroPlayer cannot host or connect to Sync Review sessions until a Nuke or Hiero has been launched on that machine
Disabling Firewalls/security software doesn't help

Steps to reproduce

1) Install a fresh version of Windows 10, along with any GPU drivers needed

2) Install Nuke

3) ONLY open HieroPlayer, and install a valid license

4) Change to the Sync Session workspace, Workspace>Sync Session

5) In the Sync Session panel, press Host, then Start in the Session Setup dialog, it will error:


6) On another machine, launch Hiero, and start a Sync Session

7) ​Close the dialogs on the first machine, and press Connect in the Sync Session panel.

8) Enter the IP of the Hiero machine, and press Connect, the dialog will do nothing:



9) Checking the ​NUKE_TEMP_DIR, the logs directory for Sync Session logs is not created:



Expected behaviour
For HieroPlayer to Start or Connect to a Sync Session

Actual behaviour
Hosting a session error's saying the port is not valid, and Connecting to a session does nothing

Workaround
Launch Nuke/Hiero before you launch HieroPlayer, however with license restrictions, this isn't always possible.
