Problem summary
Duplicate tools encounter poor performance in item and instance modes.

Steps to reproduce
1) Launch Modo.
2) Create a cube.
3) Go to Duplicate tab.
4) Select Array and set count to 10x10x10.
5) Observe that Modo will experience a significant performance drop.
6) Repeat the process with a component selected, i.e. Vertices, Edges, or Polygons and note that the response when duplicating is near instantaneous.
Expected behaviour
Duplicate should complete in a timely manner with Modo becoming unresponsive.
Actual behaviour
Modo will become bogged down for a long period of time.
