Problem summary Nuke will sometimes fail to launch due to installed software or external hardware or connected to the Windows machine.
Customer reported version nuke.13.1v1
Customer reported platform windows10
Steps to reproduce 1) Ensure external hardware is connected, such as a monitor, webcam, or audio device (M-Audio). 2) Launch Nuke with verbose logging -V 2. 3) Observe Nuke's startup performance, and view the console for where Nuke stops loading (usually at the line getenv.tcl)
Expected behavior Nuke should launch and display the software's GUI.
Actual behavior When launching Nuke, the application force closes without error and does not display the GUI. This issue also occurs with virtual webcam services installed such as DroidCam.
Workaround Disconnect any unnecessary external hardware such as webcams, audio hardware, video capture cards, or additional monitors. In some instances, changing the M-Audio sample rate from 48Khz to 44.1Khz works. Also, removing the DroidCam software allows Nuke to launch.
Reproduced in: This hasn't been reproduced in-house. Reported by customers on Windows in Nuke 13.2v2 and likely affects older version of the product.
