Problem summary Rendering frames from a Create Comp Special is slow and the progress field is blank until completed.
Customer reported version nuke.13.1v1
Customer reported platform windows10
Steps to reproduce 1) In Nuke Studio, import footage and create a Sequence. 2) Right-click the shot on the timeline, then select Create Comp > Create Comp Special... 3) Choose the project directory, and create a new Preset. 4) Add an option for transcoding the shot to any file type. Ex: EXR - Zip1 compression 5) Export the comp and observe the performance.
Expected behavior The Create Comp Special rendering should occur as a background process.
Actual behavior The Create Comp Special transcode is occurring in the foreground, stopping the user from taking additional actions. This process is slow and can take a long time, and does not display a proper loading time of when the transcode will complete; usually staying blank until the last second of rendering.
Workaround There is no available workaround at this time.
