Problem summary Loading soft effects into Viewer buffers don't work correctly This happens when trying to load a clip directly in by itself. with another clip item, of the video track by itself
Customer reported version nuke.13.1v3
Customer reported platform
Steps to reproduce
1) Open Nuke Studio
2) Import some footage and add it to the timeline
3) Create a second track, then right click the track head > Soft Effects > Text
4) Add some text to the Text Soft Effect so you can easily see it
5a) Select the soft effect and the clip below, then press 1, only the clip is displayed:
5b) Select just the clip and press 1, no playhead indicator appears and the viewer is black:
5c) Select the Soft Effect Track head and press 1, the playhead indicator appears however the Viewer is black:
Expected behaviour For the Soft Effect to be rendered and the playhead indicator to always appear
Actual behaviour The Soft Effect is not rendered, and for soft effects which are self generating, like the Text Soft effect, they appear black when isolated.
Workaround If you select both video track heads then press 1, it will have both playhead indicator and the images will render correctly, but this doesn't help for all cases:
