Steps to reproduce
 
1) Open Nuke

2) Paste the below Card node:

3) Press F to fit it in the Viewport, and enable Vertex selection mode in the 3D viewport
 
4) Try to select all the vertices, depending on the camera angle, only some vertices will get selected:
 

 
The further away in z the Card is, the wrose this gets
 
Expected behaviour
For all the vertices to be selected
 
Actual behaviour
Only some vertices are selected, depending on camera angle
 
Workaround
If you Disable occlusion testing in the 3D Viewport, then selection seems much more stable
