Steps to reproduce
 
1) Download the attached .usd file

2) Open the New Project window and select the .usd file
 
3) In the 'Load' dropdown, select 'All Models'

4) Tick the 'Create Face Selection Group per mesh' checkbox
 
5) Create the project
 
6) Once it loads, inspect the Selection Groups palette
 
Expected behaviour
A Selection Group should be created for each mesh.
 
Actual behaviour
No Selection Groups are created.
 
Workaround
Unknown.
