ID 526461 - LensDistortion node applies distortion values differently to anamorphic (non-square pixel aspect) and spherical (square pixel aspect) images

Follow

Problem summary
LensDistortion node applies distortion values differently to anamorphic (non-square pixel aspect) and spherical (square pixel aspect) images

Changing the Lens Type knob in the LensDistortion node doesn't allow you to match them either.

This happens with both the LensDistortion and LensDistortion2 nodes, but doesn't with other third party lens distortion nodes, like 3DEqualizer's nodes

Customer reported version
nuke.13.2v3

Customer reported platform
centos7

Steps to reproduce

1) Open Nuke and open the attached LensDistortionAnamorphicIssue.nk

2) Compare both CheckerBoard nodes, they appear the same, despite having different pixel aspect ratios:

3) View the LensDistortion nodes, they result in different outputs displaite having the same Distortion Parameters:

Expected behaviour
For the same distortion amount to be applied to both square and non-square pixel images.

Actual behaviour
Different images result depending on the input pixel aspect of the image

Workaround
You can output an STMap from a LensDistortion node connected to the square pixel image, then apply that to the non-square pixel aspect image.
