Problem summary
Modo crashes when exporting USD file types with a Clear Coat Effect applied in an Image Layer.

Steps to reproduce
1) Open Modo and create a Sphere mesh, then navigate to the Shading Viewport.
2) In the Shading Viewport, click the Assign Material button and hit "OK" on the pop-up window.
3) Select the newly created Material Layer and then click the Add Layer button, then select load image.
4) Select the image you will use for the Clearcoat. Once loaded, select the Image Layer in the Shading Viewport and change the Effect to Clear Coat Amount.
5) Go to File > Export As and save it as any USD file type, such as USDZ, and observe performance in Modo.
Expected behavior
Modo should remain stable while exporting USD file types that contain Image Layers with Clear Coat Effects.
Actual behavior
Modo is crashing while exporting USD file types that contain Image Layers with Clear Coat Effects.
