ID 537106 - Viewport service is unable to find Schematic Viewport

Problem summary
Viewport service is unable to find Schematic Viewport.

Steps to reproduce
 
1) Open Modo, then Navigate to Layout > Layouts > Scripting.
2) In the 3D Model Viewport, left click New Tab > Utilities > Schematic.
3) In the Script Editor, type in the provided code. 
4) Use the Ctrl + Enter hotkey and observe the results.

 
Expected behavior
If Schematic Viewport is open, then the code that is run should include the Schematic Viewport in the results.

 
Actual behavior
If the Schematic Viewport is open, then running the code creates an error.
